What is health?
The term health has more significance than any other word in the modern
world..It's such a broadly used,abused and commonly used word that from the
local chaiwallah to page 3 types everyone uses it.
Amongst the first few thing when we meet/sms/facebook/bbm people is we ask is how's your health?and 9 times out of ten the reply one gets is i am fine/well etc..
But what is health?What does it mean?Look up the word. The definitions and meanings will leave one confused and perplexed.Surprising and shocking that something as simple as health is so misunderstood today.The early man did not have words to explain health but their understanding of this term and the role it played in one's life was far advanced in comparison to man today.
Health is a state of mind and body being in balance.The ying and yang being in harmony.The physical becomes a kinetic force to the potential energy of the mind.Health is the total oneness and ease with which a human being carries out the duties and chores of day to day life.
It rejuvenates us when we follow the order of wellbeing,punishes us when we upset the applecart of wellebeing,heals when we make positive changes to our thinking and physical lifestyle,relaxes us when we sit back and feel our breath and our relationship with nature and it’s surroundings.
Health respects us when we learn to appreciate water,food,our living quarters,our clothes and our environment.Health is a way of life.It's invisible force makes us tick.
My question to you is are we really advancing with time or are we forgetting the very basics that make us healthy.We spend billions of dollars each year on foods that harm us,skin products that the body doesn't need,harm the environment and its natural resources in more ways than we can imagine
We have stopped enjoying food the way it should be enjoyed,stopped giving the body the natural exercise it needs,stop developing our minds to think like it should..And all it takes is to go back in history and follow the way of life which our ancestors lived by..
But no we won't or don't want to..As if we did then the question of what is health wouldn't be the mystery it is now..
So now sit back for 5 minutes every evening,shut your eyes,feel your breath,relish the food you ate,remember the beautiful experiences of the day.You do that and therein lies the answer to the question
